Flagstick Signs Construction Management Deal in Tianjin, China Under Our New Platinum Program

November 2011

Ground has been broken at Tianjin Pearl Beach International Country Club! This existing facility, located in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, will undergo a complete redesign by the firm of Tripp Davis & Associates. Flagstick’s expanded team of construction management experts will be involved from start to finish to ensure the final product is a world-class golf facility.

The ground-breaking ceremony for Tianjin Pearl Beach International Country Club’s much-anticipated remodel took place on November 4th in Tianjin, China. In attendance were key members of the firms involved: Keppel Land (owner and developer); Tripp Davis & Associates (golf course architect); Guangdong Machinery (contractor); Gleeds (QS supervision company); and Flagstick. At 10:18 in the morning, firecrackers were ignited and a fleet of two excavators and six bulldozers lowered their blades in ceremonial fashion.

Flagstick is very excited to work again with Keppel Land, a major Singaporean development firm whose projects are well-known in the golf industry; their award-winning resorts include Ria Bintan in Indonesia, and Spring City Golf & Lake Resort in Kunming, where we last collaborated.

We also look forward to our first project with the highly-acclaimed design firm of Tripp Davis & Associates. Tripp Davis is well-known for his designs in North America, where he has been hailed for his strategic design work and his hands-on approach to renovation. We look forward to working with his team on this interesting and challenging piece of land, where we are confident an exceptional golf course will soon lie.

This is a momentous signing for Flagstick, because it marks our second Platinum program in effect since we released this comprehensive service package last month. Our expanded team of on-site experts and specialists will include shapers, feature foremen, an irrigation manager, and, of course, our regular project management crew. Additionally, our sister company, National Trading Ltd., will supply all of the irrigation materials for the new layout.
