Gia Lai đón đầu vận hội mới trong năm Quốc gia du lịch 2026 với sự kiện khởi công quần thể đô thị nghỉ dưỡng giải trí và sân golf FLC Pleiku

Following the momentum of the opening of “Gia Lai National Tourism Year 2026,” on April 4, at the Dak Doa Complex in Gia Lai Province, FLC Group officially broke ground on the FLC Pleiku Golf Club & Luxury City Resort. This marks the first and largest integrated urban resort and international-standard golf course development ever undertaken in Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by prominent central and local officials. Representing the central government were Mr. Uong Chu Luu, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Si Cuong, former Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for External Relations; and Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism. Local leaders included Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives from provincial departments, contractors, strategic partners, financial institutions, and investors nationwide. Representing FLC Group were Chairman Trinh Van Quyet and Standing Vice Chairwoman Huong Tran Kieu Dung.

Unlocking the Unique Potential of the Central Highlands

Gia Lai, and the Central Highlands as a whole, are known not only for abundant natural resources, a temperate year-round climate, and rich indigenous culture, but also for their distinctive “pink grass hills,” which bloom each winter and transform the landscape into a rare and romantic spectacle. Despite this unique appeal, the region has long lacked large-scale developments capable of translating its potential into meaningful investment attraction.

Spanning 517 hectares with a total investment of nearly VND 20 trillion, the FLC Pleiku complex is strategically located at the gateway to Pleiku City, with convenient access to Pleiku Airport and key administrative and commercial centers. Unlike conventional resort developments, the project is designed as a fully integrated “live–resort–experience” urban model, where residents can enjoy a resort-style lifestyle within a comprehensive ecosystem.

The development will feature a wide range of amenities, including residential areas, villas, a golf course, ecological parks, sports complexes, shopping centers, and schools—all within a self-contained, internationally standard environment. Residents will benefit from a culturally rich living space complemented by exclusive amenities such as a musical fountain plaza, art stone garden, wellness and meditation gardens, glamping areas, zipline attractions, sensory jogging paths, and a diverse culinary offering showcasing Central Highlands cuisine.

At the heart of the project lies a 36-hole golf course covering over 171 hectares—serving not only as a sports facility but as a key value driver that differentiates the entire development.

Mr. Martin Moore, President of Flagstick Golf Course Construction Management, commented:
“FLC Pleiku carries a unique identity of the Central Highlands and holds tremendous development potential. This is the seventh golf project Flagstick has partnered on with FLC. A key design priority is the preservation of existing bonsai pine trees, which remains central throughout construction. With FLC’s vision and commitment, we believe this project will become a landmark golf tourism destination in the region.”

A Catalyst for Gia Lai’s Breakthrough Growth

As part of the National Tourism Year 2026 launch, Gia Lai Province also co-hosted the “Gia Lai 2026 – Activating the Coastal–Highland Corridor” conference and an investment promotion forum. During the event, the province granted investment approvals and signed memoranda of understanding for 273 projects, totaling approximately VND 850 trillion (over USD 33 billion).

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Pham Anh Tuan expressed confidence:
“With the capacity, experience, and vision of investors, along with strong commitment from the province and coordination among stakeholders, these projects will soon be completed and become new symbols of Gia Lai’s tourism development in the next phase.”

On behalf of FLC Group, Vice Chairwoman Huong Tran Kieu Dung stated:
“FLC’s goal is not just to develop a project, but to partner with the locality to create a comprehensive destination ecosystem—rooted in sustainability, respect for nature, and the celebration of local culture. Dak Doa is a uniquely promising area, combining climate, landscape, and cultural depth with strong regional connectivity. True breakthrough requires not just resources, but high-quality products, strong infrastructure, and an integrated ecosystem—and FLC Pleiku is built on that vision.”

With favorable timing, strategic location, and strong stakeholder alignment, all conditions are now in place for the project to move forward. The confidence of local authorities, investors, and the community forms a solid foundation for Gia Lai’s promising future as it rises alongside Vietnam’s broader development trajectory.
