Flagstick's "Team Thai" Completes Bunker Renovation at Pine Valley Golf Club in Beijing

Under the guidance of Nicklaus Design, Flagstick’s team of veteran Thai featureshaping experts has recreated the front nine bunkering at Pine Valley, China’s first by-invitation-only golf club. Since opening in 2001, Pine Valley Golf Club has hosted numerous professional events, including the Beijing Open, the European Tour’s Johnnie Walker Classic, and the inaugural Volkswagen Masters in 2004. The course was voted “2004 Host Venue of the Year” by the players of the Asian Tour. The new bunker style will provide upgraded aesthetic and shot value to ensure that Pine Valley maintains its position among the elite golf developments in Asia.

As soon as Beijing’s peak golf season comes to a close this fall, Flagstick will remobilize its team to complete the bunker renovation work on the course’s back nine.
